Our beginnings
On a typical Southern California summer morning, in a coffee plaza by Calit2, Derek Dunn-Rankin and Luisa Kregel envisioned establishing the finest and most forthcoming institutional and scientific engagement with Mexico. In 2016 with the driving spirit and determination of Dunn-Rankin and Kregel, the School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) established the Mexico Graduate Research and Education Program. Since MGREP has become a friendly and proactive partner with academic and research institutions in Mexico.
